STUDIO POLICY & TERMS AND CONDITIONS
Jules Russell Illustration – Workshops and Courses
1. Studio Location & Accessibility
The studio is located on the first floor of the building and is accessed via one flight of stairs.
Please note:
- There is currently no lift access.
- Attendees must be able to safely manage one flight of stairs independently.
If you are interested in attending but are unable to access the studio in this way, please contact me directly before booking so we can discuss alternative arrangements where possible.
Your comfort and accessibility matter to me, and I am happy to explore suitable alternatives.
2. Booking & Payment
- All bookings must be made via the website.
- Full payment is required to secure your place.
- Places are limited and allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.
- Your booking is confirmed only once payment has been received.
3. Cancellations & Refunds
By the Participant:
- Cancellations made more than 14 days before the workshop/course start date will be refunded.
- Cancellations made within 14 days of the start date are non-refundable.
- Missed sessions cannot be refunded or transferred.
By the Studio:
- If an individual session is cancelled due to unforeseen circumstances, an alternative date will be offered and full refund provided if no alternative date can be found.
- If the entire course is cancelled by the studio, a full refund will be issued.
4. Attendance & Missed Sessions
- Please arrive on time to minimise disruption.
- Missed sessions cannot be carried forward or refunded.
- Course materials and exercises can be summarised upon request, but individual catch-up sessions are not included unless booked separately (1:1 rate applies).
5. Studio Environment
This is a calm, focused studio environment.
Participants are expected to:
- Treat others with respect.
- Maintain care of studio equipment.
- Follow safety instructions where applicable.
- Not smoke or vape on any part of the property and grounds.
The studio reserves the right to refuse continued attendance in cases of disruptive or inappropriate behaviour.
6. Materials
All materials will be provided unless otherwise stated.
Where materials are required, a materials list will be provided prior to the session start date.
7. Liability
Participants attend sessions at their own risk.
The studio is not responsible for:
- Loss or damage to personal belongings.
- Injuries resulting from misuse of materials or failure to follow safety guidance.
8. Photography & Promotion
Photographs of student work may be used for promotional purposes.
If you do not wish your work to be photographed, please notify the studio in writing prior to the course start date.
No identifiable images of participants will be used without permission.
9. Agreement
By completing the booking and completing payment, you confirm that:
- You have read and understood these Terms and Conditions.
- You understand the studio is located on the first floor and requires stair access.
This workshop is for those aged 18 or over.
A 10% discount will be given to those booking future workshop(s) at the time of attending.
The studio is set in a beautiful rural location in the outskirts of Saffron Walden and is best accessed by car. Plenty of parking is available.
